The World 100 inches closer and more drivers have revealed their wraps for the biggest Dirt Late Model race of the year including Freddie Carpenter, Devin Moran, and Mike Spatola.

Carpenter shared his in a video post to Facebook. He revealed that his wrap is a tribute in honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001. Carpenter wrote on Facebook, “This year marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks—a day that forever changed our country. The running of the 2026 World 100 at Eldora Speedway fall on September 11 this year, and I felt there couldn’t be a more meaningful time to create a special tribute car honoring those we lost and the heroes who answered the call.”

“This tribute is dedicated to all of those who worked tirelessly and selflessly trying to rescue and care for victims,” he continued. “It is for those who ran toward danger when others were running away. And above all, it is in memory of the 2,977 lives that were tragically cut short on that fateful day. I need to sincerely thank each of my sponsors for stepping back this weekend and allowing the importance of this memorial to take the spotlight. Your support, understanding and willingness to let this tribute stand above everything else means more than I can put into words.

“Wherever you may be this weekend — please take a moment to remember those who never made it home and the heroes who answered the call. Remember the families who, 25 years later, still carry the pain of losing someone they loved. Mike Spatola revealed that his car is a tribute to Illinois racing legend Tony Izzo Sr. In his Facebook post revealing the wrap, Spatola wrote, “This year, we lost one of the most accomplished racers in Illinois – Tony Izzo, Sr. (Shaggy). Shaggy’s racing career stretched from 1964-1991 where he racked up an impressive resume. Over 500 wins across dirt and asphalt, 10 track championships, Busch Series championship, 3x Santa Fe 200 winner, Bettenhausen Memorial winner, and many more. Tony was also a car owner for other drivers through the years including his two sons Tony, Jr. and Joey Izzo. He was the promoter of Kankakee Speedway (1988-1999) and LaSalle Speedway (1992-2002). Tony had a large influence on dirt racing for over four decades. He was inducted into the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame class of 2016 and the Illinois Stock Car Hall of Fame class of 2017.”

“Being born in the 90s, I never had the privilege to see Tony race. I was very young during his promotion days. I did; however, get to know him as a friend and mentor after he stepped away from racing,” Spatola continued. “Tony was always kind to me, but not shy on telling me how to be a better racer or how he could do it better. As a northern Illinois racer, I had the privilege of growing up at the tracks that Shaggy dominated at and hearing many racing stories about him over the years. Most of them being about just how good he was. He did it in an era full of field inverts and one-lane race tracks. We have had many great racers in this area and everyone has their favorites, but one thing is for sure – everyone has heard of Izzo.”

“𝙁𝙪𝙣 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙩: When asked how he got his number 66, he said, “Well I started with 99, but I flipped one night and when I saw the car upside down I thought 66 looked better.”

Devin Moran also revealed that his World 100 wrap is a tribute wrap. His tribute is to his dad Donnie Moran’s Eldora Million car. 

“25 years later, THE MILLION CAR IS BACK. ” Moran wrote on Facebook. “A piece of history brought back to life — this time in the Silver Edition to mark the 25th year. A little tribute to the past, ready to make some history of its own. “

In a subsequent post, Moran shared two still photos of the two cars next to each other.

Tyler Erb shared a Lego-inspired wrap

In a post sharing still images of the car, Terbo shared, “September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and this year, we’re ‘building’ hope for children battling cancer.  As many of you know, I battled cancer as a child, so this cause will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Mario Gresham showcased a neon-colored car with all the logos and even the numbers upside down. His wife shared in the reveal video, “Miami Vice + retro vibes… with a little MGR twist. 😎 We’re still FLIPPING OUT over how it all came together — literally. 🙃🔥 New look. World 100 week. The Big E.”

Gresham also shared some stills of the car.

The World 100 kicks off Thursday, September 10th with $12,000 to-win Twins 25s. The entire field will be split into Group A and B via random draw. After qualifying, there will be six 12-lap heat races or shootouts with the top six being inverted. The top 8 cars from each heat race will advance to their respective feature. There will be two provisionals for the two fastest qualifiers who do not advance to the feature from the heat races. This format will be repeated on Friday, September 11th.

On Saturday for the World 100, there will be six 15-lap heat races. The starting positions will be determined by the track’s Every Lap Matters point standings and then will be inverted based on the top point man’s spin of the Wheel of Misfortune. The top three finishers from each heat race will advance to the World 100 feature. Cars finishing 4th through 11th will go to one of two 15-lap B-Features. The top cars from the B-Features will advance to the World 100. The two highest point earnings who do not advance to the World 100 feature through their heat will receive provisionals and start 19th and 20th in the World 100.

The World 100 will pay $100,000 to win and $5,600 to start. Additionally, B-Main start money has been increased to $1,000 with the first non-transfers earning $3,000. Eldora Speedway GM Levi Jones explained the increases, “Because of the incredible loyalty of our fans and the unwavering commitment of Tony Stewart, we’re proud to announce that competitors at Eldora Speedway will race for even more money in 2026 — while ticket prices remain the same. More reward for the teams. The same value for our fans. Get ready for incredible action, unforgettable moments, and the kind of entertainment you can only find at Eldora Speedway.”

There are currently 106 cars registered to compete this year.
