Jacqueline Rumley made it clear that she and her husband Kevin Rumley’s K&L Rumley Enterprises team that fields the No. 6 has no plans to race nationally moving forward.
During an appearance on the latest episode of DIRTVision’s Pit Bull, Rumley shared, “We don’t want to race full time. We’re not setup to do that. He doesn’t want to and then just even the financial investment. We’d have to update the rig and get a stacker, and all that that goes in—. And have employees.”
“It’s not feasible for what we want right now,” she added.

Additionally, she shared that team is very happy with Hudson O’Neal behind the wheel when they do show up to the track. She explained, “I get a lot of Facebook or Twitter, ‘You need to put this driver in the car or this driver in the car.’ It’s a little more complicated than just giving someone a shot.”
“I think people confuse what R&D is. We’re not an R&D development driver team. We’re an R&D car development team,” she elaborated. “So, yes, the person needs to have very good feedback, but also we’re not going to go out and—. We want to go out to win, essentially. You don’t want to unload and just know you have no chance. So Kevin’s only going to put drivers in that he feels he can win with and that are also good at feedback.”
“They need to have the best of both worlds,” she added. “They need to have the confidence, and the feedback, and the feel. So finding somebody with all of that is kinda hard. So Kevin’s pretty happy with Hudson. I think Hudson’s going to be in the car for the foreseeable future. We haven’t had any discussions of any other driver going in it, but this sport changes very rapidly so you never know. We’ll find out.”
The K&L Rumley Enterprises team has been extraordinarily successful with O’Neal behind the wheel in 2026. The team was dominant during the Wild West Shootout to start off the year winning two of the six races en route to the mini series championship.
That success continued when they made the trip back east to Florida and Volusia Speedway Park, where they picked up a win with the World of Outlaws Late Models. The pairing got another win with the Outlaws at Magnolia at the end of March and followed that up with a win at the Talladega Short Track. At the beginning of April, the team won again at Wythe Raceway with the Southern Nationals.
They would get back to victory lane during the leadup to the Prairie Dirt Classic in the FloRacing Night in America series at Fairbury Speedway in June. They would win again in August with the FloRacing Night in America series at Mason City Motor Speedway.
The team will not be back in action until the World Finals. The World Finals take place from November 4-7. Wednesday, November 4th will be a qualifying night for all three series and will set the heat races for racing action on Thursday and Friday.
Thursday and Friday will feature heat races, Last Chance Showdowns, and preliminary feature races. Saturday will feature championship finales.
