Four-Time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion and the 2006 World 100 Winner Earl Pearson Jr will return to driving action at Eldora Speedway on October 9-10th. Earl has been semi-retired since October of 2024 when he last competed at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO in a super dirt late model.
Earl will compete in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series double header “The UNOH Clash at the Wabash” at the iconic Eldora Speedway on Friday October 9th for $10,000 to win and on Saturday for a $50,000 to win series feature event.
Earl will be driving the #1 Longhorn Chassis maintained out of the Longhorn Chassis stables with a Cornett Racing Engine. Pearson was recently inducted into the Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame back in August recognizing his illustrious career that includes the 2004 Stacker 2 Xtreme Series Championship and four-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Champion (2005,2006,2007,2008). Earl has competed in the super late model division since 1995, winning his first Hav-A-Tampa Series National event in 1996 and the Hav-A-Tampa Rookie of the year honors in 1997. Earl would also find victory lane in some of the biggest dirt late model events in the country over his storied career winning the 2006 World 100 at Eldora Speedway, 2006 Hillbilly Hundred-Tyler County Speedway, 2007 Diamond Nationals- Lucas Oil Speedway, 2009 Indiana Ice Breaker-Brownstown Speedway, 2009 Jackson 100-Brownstown Speedway, 2010 Dirt Track World Championship-West Virginia Motor Speedway, 2010 Colossal 100- Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway, 2015 Indiana Ice Breaker-Brownstown Speedway, 2018 Dirt Million- Mansfield Motor Speedway and the 2022 Rumble by the River-Port Royal Speedway. Earl ranks fourth in all-time feature wins with forty (40) victories on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
