The seventeenth round of the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series schedule was slated to take place this Saturday evening, October 10 at the renowned Cherokee Speedway. Unfortunately, heavy projected rainfall for Saturday in Gaffney, South Carolina has forced series and track officials to find a suitable make-up date for the $2,000 to win event. The second series visit of the year to Cherokee Speedway will now take place on Sunday, October 25 as part of the track’s annual ‘Blue Gray 100.’
With the Red Clay tour already scheduled to take part in the ‘Modoc 100’ weekend at Modoc Speedway in Modoc, South Carolina on Friday and Saturday, October 23-24, this now sets up a lucrative tripleheader for the 602 Late Model stars in the Palmetto State. Next up for the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series will be stops at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, Georgia on Friday, October 16 and Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia on Saturday, October 17.
