Sprint car driver Dominic Scelzi shared on social media that his children were threatened after he showed for support for Charlie Kirk.
On September 10th, Scelzi reacted to the assassination of Kirk writing on X, “My heart is in pieces. A young father is gone and two children will wake up tomorrow without their daddy. The sickness I feel and sadness over this absolutely ruins me. I pray for those children as they now are fatherless. This is evil on earth.”

On Facebook, Scelzi also shared, “Rest in Peace Charlie. Absolutely sickening….. prayers to his babies, his wife, his family, his team. This is not tolerance. This is mental disease.”
On September 14th, Scelzi shared that after he supported a comedian who prayed for Kirk at least one individual threatened his children. He wrote, “Tonight a comedian I follow on Instagram posted about losing thousands of followers from his post praying for Charlie Kirk’s family. I commented ‘I used to like you, now I love you.’ I was met with comments on my page from an individual and messaged privately by his friend talking about r@p3 of my children. This is the account and the interaction below. Condemning me for my beliefs while stating ‘some people should die.’”
“These are the interactions of another brainwashed, gender confused, sicko,” he added. “I’d also like to say if I have any friends, fans, followers, or anything of the sort that agree with this person and the idea that ANYONE should die because of their beliefs, please unfriend me here, and in real life as well. If you think that way, you should dive deeper into your mental battles and find the help you so desperately need.
“This country is founded on free speech, love thy neighbor, and standing together. My democrat friends look at the state of our world and disagree with how to fix the same problems, but that’s it. They don’t want people dead. Extremists that do want people dead, and want to berate people online for disagreeing with them is the downfall of our society. God bless the free and the sane. God help the sick,” he concluded.
On September 16th he reiterated that his children were threatened after supporting Kirk. In response to Kaylee Bryson revealing she received physical hate mail that was sent to her mother’s home, Scelzie wrote, “I got the same thing. They threatened my children. Gotta love the ‘tolerant’ ones.”
