Stenhouse Jr. Marshall Racing announced that Spencer Bayston will replace Sheldon Haudenschild in 2026 and that the team will continue to compete in the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.

“The pairing of recently announced crew chief, Kyle Pruitt, and veteran driver, Spencer Bayston, only made sense for SJMR and longtime partner, NOS Energy Drink. Both Pruitt and Bayston are proven winners within the sport and eager for more. SJMR will field a second car at the upcoming World Finals in Charlotte, NC for Bayston.”

Bayston told the World of Outlaws about the new partnership, “We are looking forward to getting back on the road and are extremely grateful to do it with a great group of people! Bring on 2026.”
However, he won’t have to wait until 2026, he will be making his debut with Stenhouse Jr. Marshall Racing at The Dirt Track at Charlotte for the World of Outlaws World Finals. The team will be rolling out a second car for Bayston alongside Haudenschild’s car.
The move comes after Haudenschild announced in September he would be leaving the team alongside crew chief Kyle Ripper at the end of the year, “With immense gratitude to Ricky, Richard, and the entire Stenhouse Jr. Marshall Racing team, and after thoughtful consideration, Sheldon Haudenschild has made the decision to parts ways with the No. 17 at the conclusion of the 2025 World of Outlaws season.”

Bayston had been racing with Jason Meyers Racing earlier in the year, but parted ways in August. The team announced, “With the remainder of the season in mind and looking ahead to 2026, Jason Meyers Racing will be transitioning to a single-car effort for the rest of the 2025 season. Corey Day will handle driving duties as his schedule allows, while the team evaluates plans for the remaining High Limit Racing events in the coming weeks. As part of this shift, and after careful consideration with respect for all parties involved, Jason Meyers Racing and Spencery Bayston have mutually agreed to part ways for the remainder of the season.”
