The World of Outlaws and Hendry County Motorsports Park that the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series will make its debut at the track during the Swamp Cabbage weekend on February 20th and 21st in 2026.

Track promoter Ken Kinney said, “I’ve wanted to do this deal forever. The ultimate goal is to get the World of Outlaws. As a kid, you’ve always heard of the Sprint Cars or the Late Models, so that was the ultimate goal to get the Super Late Models in Southwest Florida, because it has never happened.”

“It’s just something people have always had a vision down here to do, but it had never been possible. With East Bay being gone, we fill a perfect void,” he added.

Hendry County Motorsports Park is a 1/4-mile track located in Clewiston, Florida. It’s about an hour from Fort Myers and 90 minutes from West Palm Beach and located near Lake Okeechobee.

“We’ve been working with Ken for the past few years to create this event, searching for a time that worked best for both parties and allowed us to build it into a new vacation destination for race fans,” said World of Outlaws Late Model Series Director Steve Francis. “We’re excited to bring the World of Outlaws to Hendry County for the first time and expand the reach of Super Late Model racing in Florida.”

On Friday night, drivers will compete in a 40-lap race with $12,000 to-win. On Saturday, both the number of laps and purse are increased. It will be a 60-lap race with a $20,000 to-win.

Briggs Transport Inc. owner Boom Briggs, who lives 10 minutes from the track hyped it up, “I was there last year for their Swamp Cabbage deal and watched the crate cars run, and heck, they ran side by side and slid for the lead, and it was pretty racey.”

“t’s something new, something different. There’s plenty to do down this way. There’s a lot of people in the area for the Swamp Cabbage Festival (which takes place less than 30 minutes away from the track in LaBelle, FL). It has the potential to be a great event because there is a lot to do around there,” he added.

If you are unfamiliar with the Swamp Cabbage Festival it is an annual two-celebration held in LaBelle, Florida. It honors the hearts of the sabal palm (Florida’s state tree), locally known as swamp cabbage, which was a staple food for Native Americans and early settlers.

The festival features armadillo races, over 100 arts-and-crafts vendors, carnival rides, a 5k Swamp Stomp run, as we well multiple stages with country, rock, and local acts. Additionally there is plenty of swamp cabbage cuisine including raw swamp cabbage salad, fried swamp cabbage fritters, and swamp cabbage stew.

Additionally, World of Outlaws announced that all drivers will be able to participate in a bass fishing tournament during the week. For fans, the series announced that “every ticket will be all-inclusive, providing access to the grandstands and pit area.”
