Brad Sweet shared an update on the future of the Northern Auto Racing Club (NARC) series at the series’ banquet following his and Kevin Rudeen’s purchase of the series earlier this year.

At the end of September, NARC announced that Sweet and Rudeen acquired the series and would take full control in 2026 from current owners and promoters Jim Allen and Brent Kaeding. Allen said at the time, “Brent and I have been exploring potential succession plans for NARC over the past few year Our primary criterion was to find a party deeply invested in our sport and committed to building on the club’s history. We are confident that we have made the right decision with Brad Sweet and Kevin Rudeen. Their extensive experience and support of 410 sprint car racing are highly regarded.”

“Kevin and I are both really excited to continue our pursuit of helping and growing 410 sprint car racing on the West Coast,” said Brad Sweet, a six-time national sprint car champion. “There is no better way to accomplish this than to build on the foundation of what Jim Allen, Brent Kaeding and many others, have built over many years. NARC has been a staple on the West Coast for many years, and we hope to continue to create many more successful seasons for the race fans, teams, promoters and racers.”

During an appearance at the NARC Championship Celebration, Sweet shared an update on the transition and his and his team’s plans for the 2026 season, “We’re in the planning phase. We’re excited. We’re passionate. We’re gonna work hand-in-hand with every team in here, big, small. We’ll make it work for everybody.”

“Obviously, the goal is to continue what you guys have all built and not change a whole bunch, but try to add and be innovative and create some new fresh ideas,” he continued. “And hopefully we can continue this thing on long into the future and then create some next Brad Sweets or Kyle Larsons or whoever, Starks. There’s a lot of young talent coming up. So it’s exciting to see what the future holds for NARC.”

“I think that the schedule, the purses, we’ll work hand-in-hand with you guys on creating something, like I said, that will work for everybody,” Sweet said. “We’ll announce kind of what our plans are as far as the point fund. I know Kevin’s-. If he does things like I think he’ll do it’s only gonna get bigger and better.”
