Devin Moran shared his thoughts regarding the wreck he was involved in with Hayden Cardwell during the first B-Main of the night that eventually eliminated him from competition for the night.
Cardwell was able to take the final transfer spot on the high side, but Moran was able to snag it back moving through turns 1 and 2 on the bottom. He then slid up in front of Cardwell exiting turn 2. Cardwell quickly dove to the bottom to cross him over heading into 3. Moran attempted to pinch Cardwell, but Cardwell was already at his door and the two made contact and drifted up the track with Moran making contact with the left rear of Trevor Gundaker.
That contact turned Moran sideways and into Cardwell and collected Dustin Sorenson as he attempted to sneak by on the outside.

Speaking to FloRacing following the wreck, Moran shared his thoughts and firmly put the blame on Cardwell, “Had a good restart there and got to second and then Trevor got back by me. Went to the bottom and Hayden just kind of did the typical Dome deal. He’s a really good race car driver, but there’s a difference between supers and crates and I’m sure he’ll figure it out and he’ll get there one day, but just typical Dome.”
As for Cardwell, he told FloRacing, “When the caution came out, I said, ‘I was just going to blast the top and see what happens there.’ And got a good run out of 4 and almost cleared him getting into 1, but just kind of lost all grip I had in the center of 1 and 2. And he got back by me there and kinda didn’t leave me much room so I thought I was going to be able to cut under him, just try to get under him and show him the nose or something. Just took a move. We were coming back to the white flag. Took a risk and I hate that it ended out that way.”
“It’s tough,” he added. “This is my first time here. And we was trying to do everything I could do to get in the show there. Wasn’t on purpose. Wasn’t intentional. We’ll move on and just enjoy the rest of our weekend.”
Moran ended up finishing the race in 11th while Cardwell finished 12th.
