Donny Schatz will join the Chad and Ann Marie Clemens-owned CJB Motorsports to compete with the World of Outlaws for the 2026 season.
The move to CJB Motorsports will pair Schatz with crew chief Barry Jackson and sees CJB return to the World of Outlaws. The team last competed in the series in 2023 with Spencer Bayston. It also sees CJB Motorsports expand its team to two cars. The team also fields Brenham Crouch’s car, which competed in the High Limit Racing series last year.
In a press release on his website, Schatz stated, “I’ve known Chad (Clemens) a long time, and I’ve known Barry (Jackson) a long time, and I have the utmost respect for them. This is a great opportunity. I’m pretty excited to be aligned with people who share the same values I do. When you surround yourself with people like that, you are going to have success. I believe this is one of those combinations that can win races right out of the gate.”
Chad Clemens added, “These are exciting times at CJB Motorsports. Donny is one of the best to ever sit in a sprint car, and to have him join the CJB Motorsports family is incredibly special. He is not only a talented and accomplished driver, but he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. We have a lot of work to do, but we’ll be ready for 2026. We’ll see everyone in Florida.”
“I’m truly grateful for this opportunity. Chad, Ann Marie, the entire Clemens family, Barry Jackson, and everyone else at CJB Motorsports have been working their tails off putting this program together, and we’re excited to get started,” Schatz said. “The World of Outlaws is where I cut my teeth… it’s where I belong. I’m as confident as I have ever been heading into 2026, and I know we’ll have the tools, knowledge, and experience to be successful.”
Reflecting on this year being his 30th year with the World of Outlaws, Schatz said, “That really hit me at the World of Outlaws banquet in Charlotte. When you think about an accomplishment like that, you think, ‘Well, maybe this is the end,’ but it’s not. It’s a new beginning for me, and I’m super excited. It’s an honor to work with Chad and Barry.”
