The World of Outlaws Late Model Series added another driver to its full-time roster bringing the total number of competitors to 18 following its entertaining kickoff weekend at Volusia Speedway Park.

Spence Smithback at WorldOfOutlaws.com shared that Todd Morrow and his Britton Motorsports No. T1 team declared his intent to compete with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series full time this year.

Morrow joins a competitive group of drivers competing for Rookie of the Year that includes Trey Mills, Logan Zarin, Eli Johnson, and Daulton Wilson.

“We just started last year at the World [100], we put all this together and we’ve only been doing it for six months,” Morrow said. “I originally retired because it had just got so expensive, and I had been out of it for about eight years. Just started back at Eldora [Speedway] for my debut. We’ve got a lot of learning, but they wanted to do it. I always wanted to do this one time, so we’re going to see if we can make it happen.”

As for his goals, he’s just looking at improving and building a notebook, “Just run all the races and be competitive. Sure, a win would be nice, but with me being out of the game, just building a notebook, getting competitive, and working on it for next year.”

Morrow did not make any of the features during this past weekend’s festivities at Volusia Speedway Park. On Thursday, in the first last chance showdown race he finished 12th and five laps down after not completing the race.

He posted a similar result on Friday night. He finished 12th in the first last chance showdown race. Finally, on Saturday, he finished 11th in the second last chance showdown race.

Morrow currently sits in 41st place in the series points. He’s 132 points behind current leader Brandon Sheppard.
