The Winter Freeze launches the 44th Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series season, where only the best single-night points finish from the three races counts toward the yearlong championship chase.
The event will have a number of support divisions. On Thursday it will feature the SEHA Hornets participating in hot lap qualifying and heat races. On Friday, it adds the CRUSA Super Street Stocks, 604 Late Models, and Crown Vics with the SEHA Hornets returning for their feature race. On Saturday, it features Factory Stocks, SCDRA 4 Cylinders, 602 late models, and Crown Vics.

Cody Overton won The Winter Freeze finale last year when it was sanctioned by the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series. He led all 50 laps and held off Ethan Dotson in the closing laps to pocket $15,000. Casey Roberts won the Friday preliminary race pocketing $3,000.
In 2024, Brandon Overton pocketed $12,000 in the finale in an exciting finish to beat Garrett Smith. Smith won the $3,000 to-win preliminary race the night before.
