Dallon Murty, the IMCA stock car ace who is making the jump to dirt late models this year with Skyline Motorsports, confirmed he will run a pick-and-choose schedule for the year.

Back in November, Skyline Motorsports announced that the 20-year-old Murty was joining the team and would begin his year at Speedweeks. The team shared in a press release, “A new chapter is set to begin for Skyline Motorsports as the Iowa-based organization is proud to announce the addition of Dallon Murty. The young racer will join teammate Tyler Bruening for the 2026 season and beyond.”

Murty shared his excitement in a Facebook post, “Pretty excited for my new journey next year. Thank you to Greg, Tyler, and everyone involved with Skyline Motorsports for the opportunity. So many great people stuck behind me and got myself to this point. Very thankful for everyone who has been involved over the years. Truly a dream to be in this position!”

One of the big questions following the announcement was what kind of schedule Murty and his teammate Tyler Bruening would run this year. That question has now been answered. Speaking with FloRacing’s Ben Shelton ahead of tonight’s DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park, Murty was asked if he would continue to compete with the IMCA Stock Cars. He answered, “I don’t know. I haven’t really been thinking about what I’m going to do. But we’re going to have a few off weekends with our pick-and-choose schedule so I’m sure I’ll be in a stock car sometime.”

On top of revealing he’s running a pick-and-choose schedule with Skyline Motorsports for 2026, Murty also shared what his goals are for the DIRTcar Nationals tonight, “I don’t even know, really. I felt pretty comfortable in practice. They felt pretty good. So thanks to Austin [Kirkpatrick] for working with us. If we can qualify somewhat decent and somehow make the show, I think that would be a win for our first night. Yeah, that’d be good for us.”

As Murty mentioned, he and his teammate Tyler Bruening are competing in Austin Kirkpatrick’s AK Racecars’ Rev1 race cars.
