Michael Leach and his Loenbro Motorsports team shared their plans for the rest of Speedweeks after a week at Volusia Speedway Park for the DIRTcar Nationals.

Leach’s media promoter Mac aka Mikey Brantley shared that the team was heading for a test at Golden Isles Speedway and then will follow the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series as it arrives at All-Tech later this week and then heads to Ocala before closing out Speedweeks at Golden Isles.

Mac said, “We are not going to race Hendry this week. We are going to race All-Tech with the Lucas Oil Super Late Model series. So we will be there with those guys. And then next week we are going to go to Ocala, also with Lucas. That’s kind of our plan for right now.”

Leach had an up and down week at Volusia, where he only made the show twice. However, he was able to get his first ever win in a super late model on February 11th.  In victory lane on Wednesday night he said, “This is everything. We’ve had such a bad start to the year. We’ve been busting our asses trying day in and day out. We’re like, ‘Oh, there’s always another day. There’s always another day.’ Well, today’s another day. I’m just so happy.”

He echoed those comments in a post-race interview with FloRacing’s Kevin Kovac, “It’s awesome. I’m telling you, I really don’t know what to say. I’m just so happy right now. We’ve been down. Not down in the dumps — like we’re all pretty positive most of the time — but we keep saying, ‘You know, tomorrow’s a new day, tomorrow’s a new day, tomorrow’s a new day.’ Well, a new day finally came.”

Outside of his win on Wednesday night, he made the World of Outlaws feature on Friday night and brought it home 25th. His other finishes for the week ended in the last chance showdowns.

Leach will be joined by Dallon Murty as well as the Lucas Oil Late Model Series regulars for the series’ opening weekend at All-Tech. Those regulars include:
