Ashton Torgerson announced he will be competing with Kyle Moody Motorsports for the upcoming Morgan Cup at Williams Grove Speedway with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

Torgerson shared on Facebook, “I’m fired up to announce that we’ve teamed up with Kyle Moody Motorsport for this weekend’s Morgan Cup at Williams Grove Speedway.”

“Owned and operated by Kyle Moody and backed by sponsors Dynatech Controls, Kint Corporation, Brenner Tire and Auto, and Pigeon Hill Designs, this opportunity helps keep my rookie standings active and gives me the chance to keep chasing this dream,” he continued. “Please make sure you guys go like, follow, and share Kyle Moody Motorsport’s page and show them some love for stepping up and making this happen. We’ll see you all tonight at The Grove.”

Moody Motorsports added in their own post, “We are proud to welcome Ashton Torgerson to the seat of the 99m this weekend for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series race at Williams Grove Speedway.”

“Ashton will pilot the Moody Motorsports entry; Owned and Operated by Kyle Moody and sponsored by Dynatech Controls, Kint Corporation, Brenner Tire and Auto and Pigeon Hill Designs to keep his rookie standings active. We will see you all tonight!”

The announcement comes just days after Torgerson announced that Shark Racing was parking its 1A team that he was piloting. Torgerson shared at the time, “This is a hard post for me to make, but effective immediately, Jacob Allen has made the decision to park the team. I’m incredibly bummed, but more than anything, I’m thankful.”

“I can’t thank Bobby Allen and Jacob enough for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime — the chance to wheel the legendary Shark Racing 1A and chase my dream at the highest level. Together, we made memories I’ll carry forever, shared a lot of laughs, and had some incredibly fast race cars along the way. For that, I’ll always be grateful,” he added. “To my crew, sponsors, fans, and everyone who believed in me through this journey — thank you for standing behind us every step of the way. Your support meant everything.”

Shark Racing explained the decision to park the 1A team with a post from Dana Allen, the daughter of team founder Bobby Allen and the brother of current owner Jacob Allen. She wrote, “There’s been a lot of talk on social media today, so let’s clear a few things up. My brother has made the decision to park his team, the 1a, for now. That decision comes from real life — from loss, from responsibility, and from navigating something no one is ever truly prepared for. This is not the end. There has been no talk of selling, and anyone saying otherwise is simply wrong.”

“Our dad built something incredible. He gave my brother and my son an amazing opportunity— and together, they built Shark Racing. That legacy isn’t going anywhere. Everyone handles grief differently. Social media doesn’t always show the weight people are carrying behind the scenes. We’re a family first. Always have been. Always will be. Not everything needs to be debated or decided from the outside,” she concluded.

Torgerson is currently 13th in points. He’s 472 behind current leader David Gravel. He’s competed in 14 of the 17 features on the schedule and has 1 top 5 and 4 top 10s. His best finish was a second place at Volusia Speedway Park back at the beginning of March.
