Robert Arch did not mince his words when he described Jacob Derrick as a “punk ass kid” who got “his teeth kicked in.”
Arch’s comments came after he salvaged a third place finish after Derrick wrecked him going down into turn 3.
Arch had dived below Derrick and made it three wide coming out of turn 2 and going down the back stretch. He was able to take the top spot heading into turn 3, but Derrick seemingly did not like Arch’s move and drove underneath his decklid and spun him out in the middle of turn 3 and 4.

Following the race, Derrick and his team attempted to confront Arch, who was still sitting in his car and waiting for the podium interview. Derrick still had his helmet on. Track security appeared to quickly intervene and removed Derrick from the area.

Specifically, Arch said, “I felt like we had a second place car. The 88 definitely had the winning car. On the restart, he s**t the bed down there and jumped sideways. Then wanted to wreck me down there. So, I don’t think I touched him. I’ll go back and look at the replay and if I did I’ll apologize, but for right now, punk ass kid got his teeth kicked in and they’re mad about it. And they don’t want to do nothing about it.”
