J.J. Yeley issued an apology for his “dirty language” after he was wrecked by David Gasper during the USCS Non-Wing Sprints Turkey Night Grand Prix feature at Ventura Raceway.
With six laps left in the feature Gasper attempted a slider on Yeley, who was running in 5th, and instead gave him a right rear in the middle of turns 1 and 2.

Yeley quickly exited his vehicle with steering wheel in hand and chucked it at Gasper and made direct contact with his side as he drove by.
He did not stop there. Yeley retrieved his steering wheel from the track staff, marched to the inside of the track, and chucked it at him again, but missed high.
Yeley then spoke with FloRacing saying, “Yesterday, we spun out or got in a wreck. He hit me hit head on, wide open, never lifted. And then, right there, I don’t know what the f**k he was thinking. We’re running fifth, there’s 10 laps to go. Just threw a dive bomb in there and wrecked me. He’s rookie of the year, but somebody needs to beat the s**t out of him. So, if they don’t stop me, I’ll be the first one to f***ing do it.”

After the race concluded, Yeley ran across the track and to the pit area where he attempted to confront Gasper. However, track officials quickly intervened and escorted Yeley away from Gasper’s parked car. While Yeley was being escorted away it appeared that a number of Gasper’s crew attempted to confront Yeley, but track officials kept them apart.

Gasper claimed that Yeley “lane changed” and it was “just a racing deal.”
He told FloRacing, “I was just trying to keep my momentum around the top and he was around the bottom. Just trying to get runs into the corner and then he’d get me through with it so far around. He just lane changed. It was just a racing deal. It’s unfortunate that that happened. He came up and I went to go underneath him so I didn’t just drill him in the back and put him in the wall. Unfortunately, I think either way it would have happened. So, yeah, if it was my fault, sorry about that. And on to the next one.”
Gasper was then asked about if Yeley had any words with him after he ran into the pits. He answered, “He tried to. I’m willing to talk to him if he comes on over and keeps his cool I’ll have a conversation with him. Until then Turkey night was eventful for sure and we’ll be ready for next season.”

Yeley issued an apology for his language on X. He wrote, “My apologies to all watching FloRacing this evening … I was a little upset and my language was a little dirty.. but here is the end result for someone else’s stupidity…”

He also noted the car was junked and would be going “straight to the dumpster.”
