Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a big fan of Brandon Overton’s Budweiser wrap on his dirt late model, which is a throwback or tribute to Junior’s scheme that he debuted back in 1999 at the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte.

Overton unveiled the wrap back in April. He shared on Facebook, “Bud Heavy in the Chevy.”

Junior commented on the car after Overton won his heat race with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Eagle Raceway last Thursday. He wrote, “I thought this was maybe just a one race deal but I love seeing this car in my timeline every week.”

He shared more praise for the car on the most recent episode of the Dale Jr. Download saying, “Love it. And Brandon promised me a door off of it. So whenever they kind of get done with it he’s going to send us a side and I think we’re going to put it in the studio.”

“I thought that was a one race day like a one-off and he’s still running it. And it’s awesome,” he added. “I know he’s been sponsored by Budweiser for years and he’s had other Budweiser cars from their history in motorsports, but it’s neat. I appreciate it. I think it’s awesome. It makes me want to pull for him and that’s awesome. Whatever kinda gets you to engage more and what their doing is awesome. So what he’s doing is working and I appreciate it.”

The wrap is just the first of four Salute to Bud designs. Designer Nightowl Design shared back in April, “First of 4 special schemes to commemorate 150 years of Budweiser.”

Overton and the car are expected to be seen this upcoming weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri for the Show-Me 100 weekend. Action is expected to kick off on Thursday night for the 13th Annual Cowboy Classic. On Friday night is The Tribute to Don and Billie Gibson and then the weekend concludes with the 34th Annual Show-Me 100 on Saturday night.
