Busch suffered from a sinus illness back at Watkins Glen. During the Cup series race on May 10th he radioed his team to ask for medical attention after the race, “Can somebody try to find Bill Heisel. He’s the kindred doctor guy. Tell him I need him after race, please.”
When asked if he wanted him at the car or at the bus, Busch responded, “Bus. I’m going to need a shot.”
However, a week later he seemed to have recovered and been in good spirits especially after winning the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Dover. He was even cracking jokes about how he figured out how to drive when he was asked about how things have begun clicking on the Cup side after the team made a crew chief change by having Andy Street take over for Jim Pohlman at the end of April.
