  Press Release

After an exciting opening race at Utica-Rome Speedway, the best full-fender drivers in the Northeast are heading to Canada.

The DIRTcar Pro Stock Series travels to the “Great White North” for two nights of action this weekend.

First, the Series visits Quebec and Autodrome Drummond in Drummondville, QC, for a 50-lap battle paying $1,400-to-win (Canadian) on Saturday, May 30. Then, the Series heads East to Ontario for a stop at Cornwall Motor Speedway in Long Sault, ON, on Sunday, May 31. This time, $1,500 (Canadian) is on the line in another 50-lap Feature.

Here’s a look at what to watch for at Drummond and Cornwall:

Leading the Charge: With current Series points leader A.J. Walters not expected to travel to Canada, six-time Series champion Pete Stefanski leads the charge of DIRTcar Pro Stock Series stars into Drummond.

The North Tonawanda, NY driver is the defending winner of the event, passing Bastien Caron in the final stages last year for his lone Series win of 2025. In four starts at Drummond, Stefanski has finished in the top two on three occasions, with his other finish a 10th.

He’s also been successful at Cornwall throughout his career, winning in 2007 and 2008.

A win this weekend would be Stefanski’s 29th career Series win.

Quebec’s Best: Saturday’s stop at Drummond will be the ninth time the Series races at the “F1 of Dirt,” and Stefanski isn’t the only driver aiming to add to his Quebec win total.

Three-time Series champion Jocelyn Roy is a three-time Series winner at the track, earning victories in 2010, 2017, and 2018. The St. Helene, QC driver finished 14th in last year’s Drummond event and opened this year’s Series campaign with a seventh at Utica-Rome.

Roy isn’t the only Quebec driver aiming to win this weekend, as Caron is looking for redemption after his second-place finish last year. Caron, from Inverness, QC, is off to a fast start to 2026, earning the opening night win at Autodrome Granby, where he races weekly.

Caron earned his first career DIRTcar Pro Stock Series win last season, when he bested the field at Mohawk International Raceway last September.

One more driver to keep an eye on Saturday is Tommy Lizotte, who finished third in last year’s Series standings. The La Pocatiere, QC, driver is looking to rebound in his home country after finishing 21st at Utica-Rome.

Lizotte is looking for his first career DIRTcar Pro Stock Series victory.

Bullring Battlers: Once Saturday’s battle on Drummond’s 1/2-mile dirt track is over, a bullring battle awaits the Series at Cornwall. It’ll be the first time the Pro Stock division has raced at the Long Sault, ON, track in 2026, with their track regulars trying to get a Series win and momentum toward a track title.

That includes Burton Ward, who won last year’s stop at the 1/4-mile facility. The Massena, NY driver finished third in the track’s standings last year, with his only win coming in the Series event.

While he’s not a Cornwall regular, you can’t count last year’s Series runner-up, Tyler Bushey, out either. Bushey, from Heuvelton, NY, finished eighth in last season’s stop there, which led to a run toward the 2025 championship.

Bushey has two Series victories, but his lone win in Canada came at Brockville Ontario Speedway, a track similar in size to Cornwall.
