Tyler Erb revealed a Kyle Busch tribute for his Dirt Late Model Dream wrap.

On social media, Erb wrote, “Growing up, I was always a Kyle Busch fan. His attitude, competitiveness, and drive to win always stood out to me. No excuses. Just win. Continuing with our Days of Thunder theme, this felt like the perfect time to bring the Rowdy Burns car to life while paying homage to Kyle Busch.”

“With IVF being such a big part of the Busch family’s journey, Race Ranch and I will be donating a portion of the proceeds from this merchandise lineup to the Future Family Development Program at Texas Children’s Hospital to help support families pursuing their dreams of parenthood,” he added. “Now let’s get Rowdy to Rossburg.”

He also shared a video as well.

Busch ran the Rowdy Burns Exxon scheme in his first race with Billy Ballew Motorsports at Charlotte Motor Speedway back in 2006, which he won.

He also ran the scheme when he won the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in 2017.

Additionally, he was open that his “Rowdy” nickname came from the film. In 2025 during an appearance on GOLF’s Subpar podcast, he explained, “The story behind that is obviously Days of Thunder. So I love the movie Days of Thunder. Rowdy Burns is one of the main characters in there. And so, you know, Rowdy, my character, myself when I was on the race track when I got to NASCAR, growing up, whatever, all that sort of stuff, I wasn’t really doing things by the book. I was sort of doing things my own way and making my own name for myself and causing a little bit of crazy and havoc on the way there. So, hence the name Rowdy.”

“And then also, I was running in the Truck Series for a guy who owned the truck. And his main truck that he had was number 15. And he was going to come out with a second truck so I could run alongside the guy that he hired full-time. So I was going to run a part-time truck with him. And he’s like, ‘What number do you want?’ I was like, ‘Well, just take 15, flip it backwards, and it’ll be 51. We’ll make it look like the Rowdy Burns car from the movie Days of Thunder, all black and everything, and I’ll be Rowdy, you know?’ And so we just kind of went with that. And kind of stuck since then.”

Erb will begin his Dream week on Wednesday with the FloRacing Night in America Series and then compete on Thursday for his preliminary night.

Erb is heading into the Dream with some momentum as he won the biggest race of his career last weekend during the Blaster 57 Special opening race at Mansfield Speedway that saw the Niss Family increase the winner’s purse from $12,000 to $100,000. Additionally, he finished fourth on Saturday night. In fact, he’s only finished outside of the Top 10 with the Outlaws once in his last 10 races and that was a 15th at Selinsgrove in the middle of May. That consistency has moved him to third in the points standings.
