Brenden Smith is reportedly out of the JCM Motorsports 19M car ahead of the Dirt Late Model Dream.

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and FloRacing Night in America announcer Dustin Jarrett shared in FloRacing’s 2026 Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway Preview Show that Smith would no longer be piloting the JCM Motorsports 19M car.

He said, “Brenden Smith out of the Colten Miller 19M. You say, ‘Well, why is that important?’ Well, remember that car made the race last year with Spencer Hughes in it. I don’t expect that team to enter the Dirt Late Model Dream this weekend. Brenden Smith will, but I think that is a storyline within the sport as we head into the weekend.”

According to Eldora Speedway, Smith is registered to compete in the Rocket XR2 17ss powered by Durham on Friday night and not in the JCM Motorsports 19M.

It is unclear if Smith is completely out of the 19M car or is just not competing with them for the Dream. The JCM Motorsports team has not put out any kind of statement regarding a driver team and it lists Smoky Mountain Speedway on June 19th as the next event on its schedule, which is the next time the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is back in action. Additionally, Smith has not shared any kind of update either.

Smith last competed with the JCM team at Lucas Oil Speedway for the Show-Me 100. He failed to make the Cowboy Classic finishing 8th in B-Main 1. However, he did make the Tribute to Don and Billie Gibson where he finished 26th. He raced his way in through the B-Main for the Show-Me 100 on Saturday to start 23rd and finished 26th.

Smith is currently 16th in the Lucas Oil points standings. He is 1315 points behind current leader Hudson O’Neal. He’s had 2 Top 10s in 18 feature starts. His best finish was 6th at Ocala Speedway back at the end of February. His other top 10 was at Brownstown Speedway at the end of March.

StockCarReport.com contacted both Smith and JCM Motorsports, but did not hear back from either party at the time of publication.
