Benji Hicks was not happy with Tyler Erb after the two made contact in the second heat race in Thursday night preliminary action for the Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway.
Erb found himself at the rear of the field after he and Ethan Dotson came together racing for the lead. While exiting turn 2, Dotson’s left front made contact with Erb’s right rear and Erb went for a spin.

On the restart, Erb quickly made his way up to 8th and began battling with Hicks for 7th going down the front stretch after Hicks drove it in deep through three and exited high off of four. As they went into turn 1 Erb made hard contact with the side of Hicks’ car. That sent Hicks flying up the track and hard into the outside wall. He then got hit by Greg Williams, who was attempting to avoid him.

Hicks was not happy with Erb and promised he owed him one in a post to Facebook. Hicks said, “Tyler Erb decided to total our car since he spun out by himself. Our dream is over.”
“No worries, IO bud,” he concluded.
In a comment, Hicks shared that he and his team “have a backup car but don’t want to tear more up coming from the rear.”

Hicks also responded to a number of individuals who blamed him for the accident. To Zach Hubbert he wrote, “I forgot we couldn’t enter the turn until tyler said it was okay… where do we get permission for next time?

To Kayden Jaje he wrote, “thank you for the kiss.”
