Ayrton Gennetten challenged Danny Sams III to a fight in the pit area of Gondik Law Speedway following a big wreck between the two during the High Limit Racing feature on Thursday night.

It is unclear exactly what happened to start the wreck as the FloRacing cameras did not catch the start, but Gennetten went for a ride through the corner barrel rolling multiple times and eventually going up and over the wall.

Gennetten clearly put the blame on Sams as he quickly got out of his vehicle and gave him a piece of his mind before a High Limit Racing official separated from Sams’ wrecked car.

He then told FloRacing’s Tony LaPorta that he was okay, “Yeah, I’m good.”

Next, he laid down his challenge to Sams, “I’m going to keep it as PG as possible. But when you’re running 18th neither of you are going anywhere-. The dude wrecks everybody. He drives like a damn squirrel. Why the hell you going to run me over? If you’re going to run my car over let’s get out, let’s go fight like men. Like what the hell, dude? Destroyed my entire race car for no freaking reason in 18th. I don’t drive like that. Don’t drive me like that.”

“At Eagle he tried taking me out twice for the B-Main. Whatever. But, dude, if you want to drive me like that, I’ll drive you like that. But I ain’t driving like that ’cause I’ll take care of my stuff outside the freaking race track like a man,” he added.

He then thanked his sponsors, “I’ve got to thank my sponsors Boerne Brand Hot Sauce, Wet Steps, Hibdon Gravel, Stuart House, Coopers Garage, everyone that’s helped us. We had a good car. I messed up the setup tonight. Honestly, just trying to survive. I don’t know what the hell he was doing. He bought run over Brooke Tatnell, about ran over Chris Thram. He clearly ran me over. Whatever. I’ll see him after the races.”

In a video posted to Facebook following the race, Gennetten did share that he confronted Sams, but no fight took place.

First, he went over his night and all the damage the car sustained, “Well, that was a freaking bummer. Missed the setup. Got kind of tagged early in the race and fell back and really just wasn’t that good to be plain and simple. Then just got monster trucked.”

“We got the car tore apart. Junked everything in the drive line system, for sure,” he shared. “Tail tank was fine. We just took it off so we load up easier to get to this stuff. Destroyed our brake rotor. I mean absolutely wasted this thing. Destroyed the rear end. Destroyed the front end, shocks. All that stuff is junk. You can’t really, but you can definitely see where the frame’s bent here. Got into the concrete right there. So, for the most part we have a bunch of work to do now, which, obviously, was not in our agenda for this trip, but our spare car is ready. So we’ll have that out tomorrow night. We are going to go ahead and haul butt to Fergus Falls and get everything ready to go for tomorrow. Switch cars. Get this motor out, get it ready to get maintenanced when we get it back home.”

“Thanks to everyone who liked my interview. I know it was passionate, for sure. Still feel the same way, honestly. Just don’t know what he was doing. It’s like he sit there and told me I’d changed lanes, but he ran into three other guys before he took me out. It is what it is. We’ll regroup, get back going tomorrow, and see if we can’t get some more speed and keep rolling,” he concluded.
