Officials with Texarkana 67 Speedway and the USRA American Racer Modified Series presented by Day Motor Sports have announced the postponement of the scheduled Topless Modified Short Track Nationals, originally slated for June 12-13 at the historic south west Arkansas facility.
The decision comes after an unexpected loss in event sponsorship within the last week which was necessary to support the event at the level both the track and series envisioned.
While the cancellation is disappointing for competitors, teams, and fans, both Texarkana 67 Speedway and ARMS officials are actively exploring options for a replacement date later this season. Discussions are currently centered around a possible one-night special event.
Track promoters Tim and Laura Crawley issued the following statement regarding the postponement:
“It’s with much regret that we must postpone our modified event June 12 & 13. We are working on another date to bring the ARMS Modified Series to 67 Speedway. Not having the necessary sponsorship to make this event what we wanted forces us to regroup. We are disappointed that this was the final result for this upcoming weekend, and we appreciate the ARMS series and their officials for their understanding and willingness to work together on a possible make up date moving forward. Hopefully this announcement is early enough to avoid inconvenience for all of our racers and fans.”
“With this being said, we have decided to use next Friday, June 12th as a make-up date for one of our rain outs for our Gateway Bank 67 Series Mean 15 events. We will run a regular show with all 5 of our classes.”
Series officials appreciate the efforts of the Crawley family and Texarkana 67 Speedway staff in attempting to bring the event to fruition and remain committed to finding an opportunity to add the speedway back to the 2026 ARMS schedule.
Additional information regarding a potential makeup date will be announced as details become available through official ARMS and Texarkana 67 Speedway channels.
Any marketing partners who are interested in sponsoring the event and would like to get involved with either the USRA American Racer Modified Series or Texarkana 67 Speedway are encouraged to reach out to Series or track officials.
