Clay Harris has had a rough few days starting off with some fuel and ignition issues during the Shale Crescent Dirt Cup at Muskingum County Speedway and now an issue with his generator while heading to Magnolia Motor Speedway to compete with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series.
On Wednesday, June 10th, Harris and his team shared ahead of the Dirt Cup feature that the team was “battling ignition issues all night” and were hoping they could “put it all behind us.”
They were unable to do that during the feature as Harris was the first to pull off due to the issues. He posted to Facebook, “DNF last night at Muskingum, battled fuel/ignition issues all night and just couldn’t get it going.”
Nevertheless, his team went to work and they reported they were up until 4 AM on Thursday morning working to fix the problem. Harris posted, “We stayed up until 4 am working on this race car. Props to Muskingum County Speedway for letting us hang out and make sure it is track worthy. That’s huge!”
“We had the entire fuel system out of it, including the fuel cell. Pretty confident we got it running how it should be,” he added.
Harris then shared that they were going to head to Magnolia Motor Speedway for the Clash at The Mag with the Hunt Front Super Dirt Series.
A little over 6 hours later and Harris reported that they suffered a hauler issue with their generator no longer running, “๐๐๐ฆ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ข๐ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฌ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ค๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ- สแดแดสแดส ษชssแดแดs สแดแด แด แดs sษชแด แดสษชษดแดแด . Generator will not run. (Under freq) At this point, form a line of ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ stuff that needs fixed and take a number and we will get right to it!”
Harris did share an update this morning that he made it to Magnolia Motor Speedway, “Despite our hauler troubles, we made it to Magnolia Motor Speedway and today is RACEDAY #1 of the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Clash at The Mag!”
