Then, the North Region continues its chase for the championship with a visit to Autodrome Drummond in Drummondville, QC, on Saturday, June 27, and Cornwall Motor Speedway in Long Sault, ON, on Sunday, June 28.

Both Features will be 50 laps, paying $1,500-to-win (CAN).

Here’s a look at what to watch for at Brewerton, Drummond, and Cornwall:

CENTRAL REGION

Hollenbeck Leads: Hunter Hollenbeck turned heads at the start of the 2026 season, earning a victory in the region opener at Weedsport Speedway in May. Now, the Fulton, NY driver has the chance to defend home turf at one of his home tracks on Friday.

Hollenbeck has four wins this season, with two of them coming at the “D-Shaped Dirt Demon,” where he leads the points standings. He’s only made one Series start at Brewerton in his career, an eighth-place finish in last year’s Central Region event.

Demon Speeding: Along with Hollenbeck, three other drivers have reached Victory Lane this season at Brewerton. Tony Finch II and Joe Trichilo each have two victories, while Riley Rogala has the other.

Finch finished third in the Series opener at Weedsport and is also third in Brewerton’s point standings entering Friday. The Pennellville, NY driver finished third in last year’s Central Region event at the “Demon.”

For Trichilo, Friday’s race will be his second DIRTcar Sportsman Series start. The North Syracuse, NY driver finished 23rd in last year’s Brewerton stop.

Rogala, meanwhile, is aiming for better fortune than in his past Series starts at Brewerton. The Brewerton, NY driver’s best finish at the track in Series competition is a 16th in 2021.

 NORTH REGION

The Gauntlet Continues: Three races remain in the battle for the North Region championship, and all of them happen within the next week, ending with the crowning of a champion at Can-Am Speedway on July 1.

Entering this weekend’s Canadian doubleheader, Gavin Eisele and Brennan Moore are tied for the region points lead, with each of them earning a victory in the first two races.

Eisele, from LaFargeville, NY, has momentum after his win at Brockville Ontario Speedway last weekend. However, he’ll make his first start at Drummond on Saturday, aiming to best his North Region competitors and Quebec stars. At Cornwall, he’s made one Series start, finishing fourth in last year’s region finale.

Moore, who won the region’s opener at Can-Am Speedway in April, will also make his first start at Drummond on Saturday. He finished 21st in last year’s visit to Cornwall.

Canadian Stampede: The race at Cornwall last July was a night to remember for Shane Pecore, as he won the North Region title with his victory. However, his win at Cornwall last year is his only Series triumph at the 1/4-mile dirt track.

Pecore, from Cornwall, ON, also has a Series win at Drummond in his career, which occurred in 2014. In five DIRTcar Sportsman Series starts at the “F1 of Dirt,” he’s never finished outside the top five. Pecore is aiming for his 14th career Series triumph.

The defending Series champion will be joined by Jacob Nadeau, who won the only Sportsman Feature contested at Cornwall this season. Nadeau, from Yamaska, QC, is also the points leader at Drummond entering this weekend. He has a win and a sixth in two starts.

Nadeau is searching for his first Series victory. His best finish was a sixth during last year’s North Region race at Cornwall.
