The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP would make its first official visit to 191 Speedway in Campton, KY for the track’s Firecracker 30 in the first event of a Bluegrass State doubleheader to celebrate America’s 250th birthday and Derek Fisher of Olympia, KY would lead all thirty laps on his way to the $5,000 victory. The event would be co-sanctioned with the Coltman Farms Racing Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics.

The win by the 40-year-old Fisher would be his fourth career Coltman Farms Racing Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphic victory and would be his first career Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series victory and makes him the 180th different winner in series history. His win would come in the Mike Swartz owned Longhorn Chassis with Jay Dickens Race Engines providing the horsepower beneath the hood. Fisher’s winning entry is sponsored by Mike Swartz Construction and Tree Removal, Swartz Rentals, Swartz Farms, Route 460 Towing, Ryan McCoy Plumbing, Graphic Impressions, Custom Suspensions, Hoosier Tire Midwest, SuperHeat Solutions, VP Racing Fuels, and Wayne Bowen Racing Supply.

Derek Fisher would jump to the race lead on the opening lap of the event, followed by Rod Conley, Brandon Fouts, Henry Hornsby III, and Colten Burdette. The first caution of the event flew on lap two for a three-car tangle in turn one involving Garet McCloud, Josh Curtis, and Travis Carr, with Curtis not able to continue. The restart would see Fisher maintain the lead, with Fouts taking second from Conley, with Burdette taking fourth from Hornsby III. Burdette would take third from Conley on lap four and Hornsby III would take fourth from Conley on lap six. Andrew Mayabb would slow on the track to draw the caution on lap nine and on the restart, the caution would quickly reappear when Kirk Phillips, Cody Mahoney, and McCloud would tangle in turn four, with Phillips and Mahoney done for the night. Fisher again maintained the lead on the restart, while Burdette would take second Fouts, with Hornsby III and Conley fourth and fifth. Conley would draw the caution on lap fourteen after he spun in turn two. Fisher would continue to pace the field on what would be the final restart, with Burdette, Fouts, Hornsby III, and Tyler Carpenter giving chase. Fisher would keep Burdette at bay over the final half of the event and would see the checkered flag first, with Burdette, Fouts, Hornsby III, and Carpenter trailing at the finish. The remainder of the top ten finishers would be Seth Daniels, Jesse Puckett II, Shannon Thornsberry, Jamie Ferguson, and Miles Cook II.
