The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series announced that it has expanded the Swamp Cabbage 100 weekend at Hendry County Motorsports Park with an $8,000 to-win race on Thursday, February 4th.
The series shared, “The HTF tour has officially joined the Feb. 4-6 Swamp Cabbage 100 with an $8,000-to-win event on Thursday, Feb. 4, kicking off a three-day weekend that also features the World of Outlaws Late Model Series racing for $12,000 to win on Friday, Feb. 5 and $20,000 to win on Saturday, Feb. 6.”
February 4th at Hendry County Motorsports Park had originally been scheduled as a practice night for the World of Outlaws Late Models. It is unclear if that practice night will move to Wednesday, February 3rd or if it will be scratched altogether.
The race is the first of two Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series races that will be part of Speedweeks. The series had previously announced that it would have an $8,000 to-win race at Hunt the Front’s Southern Raceway on February 11th as part of the inaugural Gulf Coast Winter Nationals that also includes two World of Outlaws Late Model Series races on February 12-13.
With Hendry County Motorsports Park being over 560 miles from Southern Raceway, the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series also announced The End-to-End Challenge that will provide bonus money to the driver with the best combined performance across the two races. As for how the best combined performance will be determined the series said it would share more information in the coming weeks about the scoring format along with the bonus payout.
The series also shared that both of these races will be non-points races. It explained that it gives “Series regulars a chance to shake down their equipment ahead of the championship season opener in March while taking on the national touring stars of the World of Outlaws.”
