Round ten of the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series schedule took place on Tuesday night in the annual ‘Roscoe Smith Classic’ at Senoia Raceway and it was Pearson Lee Williams that celebrated in victory lane at the Senoia, Georgia venue! Pearson earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session to claim the pole position for the 25-lap headliner. When the feature rolled around, it was outside polesitter Spencer Singleton that got the jump on the talented field.

Spencer led the first nineteen circuits during the caution-free affair before Pearson’s #121 machine made the pass for the win on the twentieth lap. From there, the Dublin, Georgia ace drove away from the pack to capture the $2,000 first place prize money. Hayden Cardwell, who made a late pass for second, finished 2.233 seconds back in the runner-up spot. After leading a majority of the race, Spencer Singleton held on to third to round out the podium. Matthew Kade improved three positions to finish fourth, while Cody King came home fifth.

Pearson Lee Williams’ first career win at Senoia Raceway came aboard a Rocket Chassis with sponsorship in part from Williams Paint & Body, Wynn Land Development, Williamson’s Bakery, Heartland EMS, Penske Racing Shocks, World Famous Cadillac Ranch, Terminal Maintenance & Construction, Keyton Logging, Woodard Land & Timber, and Southern Livestock.

A total of 30 Red Clay 602 Late Model Series competitors converged at Senoia Raceway on Tuesday for the $2,000 to win shootout. Matt Dooley knocked down the fastest time in RaceDay Safety hot laps, while Spencer Singleton went quickest in Knowles Race Parts and Bodies qualifying with a lap of 16.314 seconds. The pair of consolation races were topped by Matt Dooley and Mavrick Davidson, while a series provisional was granted to Jim Gray.

Up next on the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series slate will be a visit to North Georgia Speedway on Friday, July 24. The third trip of the year by the tour to the Chatsworth, Georgia oval will shell out a $2,000 winner’s check. Previous winners at North Georgia Speedway this year were Dawson Lowe on April 24 and Booger Brooks on June 26. More information on Friday’s annual ‘Young Memorial’ can be accessed online by clicking on www.northgeorgiaspeedway.net.
