A Kentucky-Ohio Doubleheader awaits the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP on Friday July 31 and Saturday August 1. Ponderosa Speedway will be the 19th Annual “Hugh” Junebug Rowland Memorial paying $6,000-to-win followed by a visit to Portsmouth Raceway Park for the Sixth Annual Jackie Boggs Kids Night paying $7,500-to-win.

On Friday July 31, the series will visit Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky. for the first time since August 4, 2023 when Michael Chilton claimed payday. This will mark the 18th-ever series visit to the track located minutes from Danville, Ky. In addition to the Super Late Models racing 30 laps, the Crate Late Models, Crown Vics and Front Wheel Drives will be part of the action. The drivers meeting will be at 7:00 pm with on-track activity to follow. At Ponderosa, a sponsor has placed a top-three Heat Race Bonus for the Super Late Models paying $150 for the winner, $60 for second place and $40 for third place. An anonymous sponsor has also placed $1,000 on top of Friday’s winners purse making it $6,000-to-win!

On Saturday August 1, the tour will visit Portsmouth (Ohio) Raceway Park for the fourth-ever series visit and the first time since August 30, 2024 when Daulton Wilson claimed the Boone Coleman Memorial Gator 50. The UMP Modifieds & Sport Mods will join in with the 30-lap Super Late Model feature program. The pits open at 1:00 pm, the stands open at 3:00 pm, the drivers meeting will be at 6:30 pm with on-track activity to follow. The event also will feature lots of activities for the kids including free school supplies while supplies last. The night’s event is sponsored by Cheap Chevrolet of Flemingsburg, KY.

Both events will be co-sanctioned with the Coltman Farms Racing Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics. Both events will also be points-paying events for the Valvoline Weekend Allstars mini-tour. The event at Ponderosa Speedway will mark the 25th visit by the “BoB Tour” to Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring while it will mark the third-ever visit to Portsmouth. Victor Lee is the all-time BoB Series winner at Ponderosa Speedway with five victories. Audie Swartz and R.J. Conley are the two former winners at Portsmouth. Each night will feature the “In Memory of Dennis Selby” Fast Time Award paying $246 to the overall fastest qualifier.

Colten Burdette of Parkersburg, W.V. leads the Valvoline American Late Models into Ponderosa and Portsmouth for this huge weekend of racing over Rod Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Miles Cook II of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Seth Daniels of Jackson, Ohio and Travis Carr of Stoutsville, Ohio rounding out the top-five in points. R.J. Conley, Tyler Carpenter, Justin Cooper, Rusty Schlenk & Luke Morey complete the top-10 in current points.

Colten Burdette leads the Valvoline Weekend Allstars mini-tour heading into Ponderosa and Portsmouth over Tyler Carpenter, Miles Cook II, Rod Conley, Seth Daniels, Freddie Carpenter, Todd Brennan, R.J. Conley, Travis Carr & Caiden Black rounding out the top-10.

Sitting atop the Coltman Farms Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series points is Derek Fisher of Olympia, Ky. who leads Brandon Fouts by 75 points. Rounding out the top-five in the series points includes Seth Daniels third, Justin Cooper fourth & Henry Hornsby III fifth.

The tire rule for Ponderosa and Portsmouth will be: Fronts & Left Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2 & NLMT 3. The Right Rear will by Hoosier NLMT 3 & NLMT 4. The series entry fee is $50 per night.
