The Super DIRTcar Series will focus fully on Sharon Speedway when it races into Ohio next week after Mansfield Speedway officials encountered several hurdles preventing it from being able to welcome the Big Block Modifieds to the Series’ Ohio swing.

A large Saturday night concert at Mansfield Speedway introduced after the original race schedule was announced, combined with the county fair, has made running another event within that span an untenable option for the track. The race will not be made up.

The Super DIRTcar Series now set its sights on the Steel Valley 75 Wednesday night at historic Sharon Speedway, where a duel between Anthony Perrego and 10-time champion Matt Sheppard thrilled the packed stands last season. Sheppard is still looking for his first Super DIRTcar Series win of the year while the championship battle is heating up with three-time champion Mat Williamson of Ontario fending off rising star Alex Yankowski from Pennsylvania.

In addition to the Super DIRTcar Series, 410 Sprint Cars will also be on the card.
