The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP would conclude its weekend visit to the state of Michigan on Saturday evening at Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, Mich. with Rusty Schlenk picking up the $5,000 payday in a thrilling victory.

Seth Daniels and Colten Burdette brought the field to the green flag to start the 30-lapper with Burdette jumping to the early lead. By the halfway point, Burdette was still the leader with Daniels in tow, then Rusty Schlenk and Chad Finley. On lap-20, Schlenk does a slider on Daniels to take second, now setting his sights on the top spot. After a great battle for the lead, Schlenk was able to get around Burdette on the 23rd lap to take the lead. With four laps to go, Schlenk was caught up behind slower traffic allowing Burdette to take the lead back briefly but Schlenk came out on top with three laps to go back at the point and went on to win a thrilling feature event over Burdette, Finley, Daniels and Rod Conley rounding out the top-five.

For the 40-year-old Schlenk, from Jackson Mich., the win would be his third of the season with the tour, second straight, his series leading 43rd career victory, and marked the 305th personal feature victory of his career.
