Tristan Chamberlain and his team addressed internet gossip after they put their truck and trailer up for sale.

The team announced it was selling its truck and trailer in a post to Facebook on Saturday, August 15th for $420,000. They shared that the truck is a 2008 Freightliner Columbia while the trailer is a 2012 38 foot trailer with slide out.

On Sunday August 16th, the team noted they had no plans of quitting and would continue to compete with the World of Outlaws Late Models. They wrote, “It’s so funny how many people have jumped to conclusions about us posting our old truck and trailer for sale.”

“We had a brand new truck and trailer custom built to our liking,” they added. “We picked it up this week and took the weekend off to get everything moved into our new truck before the next points race with World of Outlaws Late Model Series.”

“Tricky and Gibson Racing are still very much together and continue to chase the outlaws points. We’ve been very busy with this transition as you can imagine. Hope to get a toter/trailer tour video done within the next couple of days. We have lots of people to Thank for all the hard work done that made this all happen!”

Chamberlain is currently 11th in the World of Outlaws Late Model standings. He is 1058 points behind current leader Bobby Pierce. In 39 feature starts he has 5 top 10s with his best finish coming at Marion Center Speedway, where he finished 7th. His other top 10s include a 9th place at Senoia at the end of March, a 10th at Ogilvie and Nodak Speedway during the trip up north in June, and a 9th place at Stateline Speedway.

On top of his top 10s, he did nab the pole at Georgetown Speedway in the middle of May. He has an average start of 15.5 and an average finish of 16.8.

This is shaping up to be Chamberlain’s best season with the Outlaws to date. In 2025, he had an average start of 19.6 and an average finish of 17.4. He finished 13th in points. In 2024, he had an average start of 19.7 and an average finish of 16.3. He finished 14th in the points. He also has more Top 10s than 2025 already. He only had 4 last year albeit he did get a Top 5 as well with a 5th place finish at Arrowhead Speedway. Similarly, he got a Top 5 in 2024 with a third place at Rocket Raceway Park. He had 6 Top 10s in 2024.

Chamberlain and the Outlaws will be back in action later this week at Maquoketa Speedway on August 21-22 for the Hawkeye 100.
