  Press Release

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP would return to action with the 19th Annual Ike Moler Memorial at MRP (Moler) Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH on Friday evening and Michael Chilton of Salvisa, Ky. would lead all thirty laps on his way to a $5,000 payday and first career Ike Moler Memorial victory. Chilton’s victory would make him the 14th different in seventeen completed series events in 2026

The victory for the 40-year-old Chilton would be his thirteenth career Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series win and would come in the seat of the Tim Logan owned Rocket Chassis powered by a Clements Race Engine with sponsorship from Caton Industrial Painting, Hatcher’s Auto Sales, Vision Cabinet Source, Parkview Home Center, Riverwood Self Storage, Rick Purvis Builders, and 5150 Race Trailers.

The start of the 19th Annual Ike Moler Memorial Valvoline A-Main would see polesitter Michael Chilton take the race lead, with R.J. Conley, Kody Evans, Justin Cooper, and Blake Creech trailing in second through fifth. Evans would work past Conley for the runner-up slot on lap four, while Chilton would set a torrid pace at the point and started lapping slower traffic on lap six. The front four would remain the same, while Kirk Phillips would challenge Creech for fifth and take the spot on lap ten. Chilton and Evans would put a bit of distance on the field until the caution waved for a spin by Miles Cook II on lap sixteen. The restart would see the front five of Chilton, Evans, Conley, Cooper, and Phillips remain the same until lap nineteen when Creech would reclaim the fifth position. Evans would reel in Chilton and pressure him for the lead, but the caution waved for debris on the track in turn two on lap twenty-seven. Chilton would get a great restart and as the field was set to take the white flag, Seth Daniels would slow on the track with a flat right-rear tire, setting up a green-white-checkered finish. Chilton would not be challenged and go on to grab the win, followed by Evans, Conley, Cooper, and Creech. Phillips would finish sixth, with Rod Conley, Miles Cook II, Rob Anderzack, and Colten Burdette completing the top ten.

The next event for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP will be on Saturday August 29 at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, OH for the 23rd Annual Iron-Man Classic, paying $7,500 to win. This event will also be co-sanctioned with the Coltman Farms Racing Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics.
