The United Late Model Series announced that Hudson O’Neal will defend his Country Roads 100 title at Tyler County Speedway this Sunday.

The series shared in a post to Facebook, “Hudson O’Neal looks to repeate Country Roads 100 Triumph! O’Neal captured the inaugural event in 2025 and plans to return this Sunday at a chance to go back to back against the stars of the United Late Model Series at America’s Baddest Bullring.”

O’Neal will be competing in the K&L Rumley No. 6 car as confirmed by Jacqueline Rumley to StockCarReport.com, “He will be in our 6!”

The chance to defend his title at Tyler County Speedway will cap off a busy weekend for O’Neal, who will compete his SSI Motorsports No. 71 car with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Port Royal Speedway for the two-night Rumble by the River event that takes place on August 28th and 29th.

The Country Roads 100 event begins on August 27th with practice opened for all divisions. Racing action will begin on August 28th with “preliminary events for the United Late Model Series Country Roads 30 portion.” 

That $5,000 to-win Country Roads 30 race won’t take place until August 29th where the winner is guaranteed a starting position for Sunday’s $20,000 to-win Country Roads 100 main event. 

On Sunday, August 30th, the main event will take place with the aforementioned $20,000 on the line to the winner and $1,000 to start. The race has an interesting format more akin to Sprint Cars or asphalt late models. Racing action will be halted at lap 50 and teams will be given 10 minutes to made adjustments to the car as well as make “one tire change.”

While Hudson O’Neal will be looking to defend his title, a number of challengers will be looking to dethrone him including Troy Frazier, Daniel Hill, Freddie Carpenter, Jon Lee, Joe Martin, Drake Troutman, Steve Banal, Levi Yetter, Dave Stamm, Ryan Payne, Ryan Montgomery, Ken Schaffer, Corey Conley, Todd Brennan, Derek Rogers, Mason Zeigler, Connor White, Michael Lake, Tyler Carpenter, Travis Brown, Josh Baldwin, Dylan Lewis, Brandon Weigle, Benji Hicks, Chris Schneider, Caiden Black, Kyle Thomas, Derek Stefanick, Eddie Carrier Jr., Ross Bailes, Kevin Smith, Kyle Hardy, Bryan Bernheisel, Brock Pinkerous, Mike Benedum, and Logan Hitt.

O’Neal has been extremely good in the No. 6 K&L Rumley Longhorn. He’s won 8 times this year in it and most recently with the World of Outlaws Late Models at Maquoketa Speedway and with the FloRacing Night in America Series at Mason City Speedway. Those wins propelled him to the Hoker Trucking Iowa Speedweek Championship.

The Country Roads 100 will be televised on Hunt the Front TV.
