Ashton Winger won’t be competing with either of the two biggest tours this year, but he’s got his sights set on a Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series championship.

The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series revealed that Winger will be chasing the championship and its $50,000 to-win title.

Winger is no stranger to the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series. In the series inaugural season in 2023, he competed in a little over half the features (10). He won three of them, had 5 top 5s, and 7 top 10s. His three wins came at Lavonia Speedway, the Talladega Short Track, and Swainsboro.

He followed up that performance in 2024 by finishing second in the championship standings in 2024 behind Brandon Overton. While he didn’t get any wins, he competed in 19 of the series 20 features and had 9 top 5s and 17 top 10s.

Last year he competed in 6 of the series 15 features and had 3 top 5s and 4 top 10s.

Given Winger’s track record and especially his success in 2024, he’s definitely one of the favorites heading into the 2026 season with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series. He’ll have some stout competition as the series has announced a number of other drivers who have committed in 2026. It includes Josh Putnam, Dillard Hatchett, Trenton Mathis, Dalton Cook, Beckham Malone, and Jackson Hise.

Winger is expected to be in action when the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series kicks off its 2026 season this upcoming weekend for the South Georgia Showdown at Needmore Speedway. The series will have a practice night on January 29th with racing action on the 30th and 31st. Both races will pay $10,000 to-win.

Racing action will continue into next week as the series moves to Swainsboro. It will have a practice night on February 1st and then racing action on the 2nd and 3rd. Both of those races will also pay $10,000 to-win.
