BAPS Motor Speedway located in York Haven, Pennsylvania announced a promotion that will be run during its July 25th races, where it promises to complete its features by 9 PM ET or give fans a voucher for another race later in the season. They’re calling this a “money back guarantee” despite making it clear you won’t get your money back, but will only receive a voucher that’s good for the next three weeks at the track.

In a press release, the track shared that “General Manager Kolten Gouse and his team have come up with a promotion for the July 25th program, which will feature Super Sportsman, 358 Late Models, and Limited Stocks. The program starts at 7 p.m. and if the third and final feature isn’t completed by 9 p.m., every fan in the grandstand will get their money back in the form of a race voucher for the next event.”

The race voucher will seemingly be a wrist band handed out to attendees of the race program and can be used over the next 3 weeks at the track, but can not be used as an upgrade and will not provide entry to any of the track’s 410 sprint car races.

“People just have more going on in their lives, and this is a way to provide good entertainment in a timely fashion,” Gouse said. “It also puts the pressure on us to follow through with a speedy and efficient program.”

“We are always looking for ways to streamline our events and make them fan friendly. This isn’t something we can do all the time, but we thought it would be a fun promotion and something that would add a little intrigue and interaction to one of our summer programs,” he explained.

“If we are done in two hours, it’s good for fans,” Gouse declared. “If we aren’t, it’s still good for them, as well. Call it a win-win for everybody involved.”

Aside from the fact, that you won’t actually get your money back if they go pass 9 PM, if the night is rained out or there is some other uncontrollable circumstance the entire promotion is voided.
