Bobby Pierce revealed a throwback wrap honoring his father’s 1995 paint scheme for the Dream that takes place this weekend at Eldora Speedway.
Pierce showed off the new wrap in a post to Facebook writing, “Tall Cool One 1995 Smooth Operator 2025. Throwing it back 30 years ago for this year’s Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway! ”
“My dad & crew chief, Bob Pierce, drove this “starr’s car” 3 decades ago, a year before I was born! It’s pretty cool to bring some history to life! He said.. ‘Wow it’s crazy how much it looks just like my old car.’ This was a fun & challenging car to wrap. We wrapped the whole deck & everything.. It’s definitely one of my favorites,” Pierce stated. “I’m not really sure which races Bob won with this car, but I think he won the ‘95 PDC with it. If you have any pictures or videos of this car, feel free to comment or message me them.”
In a video showing off the car, Pierce shared more details, “This is a throwback to my Dad thirty years ago in 1995. He drove this car for Mooney Starr and Larry Shaw. So our slogan for the weekend is “Fueled by a dream. Guided by a star.”
“This car turned out awesome,” he continued. “Thank you Slicker Graphics for printing it. It’s not quite neon, but it’s getting there. We went with this cool vintage retro throwback. My Dad actually won the Prairie Dirt Classic in 1995 with this scheme.”
While the wrap was made for The Dream at Eldora, Pierce did share, “I’m sure you’ll be seeing this car a few more times after that because it’s just looks too good to only race it one weekend.”
What do you make of Pierce’s throwback scheme to his Dad’s Prairie Dirt Classic winning car from 1995?
