Brian Shirley, who was second in points with the FloRacing Night in America Series heading into the Dream weekend, recently shared why he skipped the race and is skipping The Dream at Eldora.
In a post to Facebook, Shirley wrote, “With our main focus on the World of Outlaws, we’ve decided to skip the Dream this weekend to dedicate time to building a new car and preparing for the start of the Summer Nationals and the rest of our Outlaw schedule.”
“We’ll definitely miss seeing all of our fans and friends in our racing family, but we’re excited to hit the track soon as we take on the opening stretch of the Hell Tour,” he concluded. “Looking forward to seeing everyone out there!”
Shirley is currently 6th in the World of Outlaws Late Model series. He’s currently 236 points behind current leader Bobby Pierce.
