Brian Shirley announced he’ll compete with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2026.

Shirley made the announcement in a post to Facebook writing, “Excited to chase a new title in 2026! Thankful for our sponsors and partners and the opportunity to do what we love. See ya’ll in Florida.”

“We’re excited about the switch,” Shirley said as part of a press release on his personal website. “We made a lot of great memories and won a lot of races with the Outlaws, but sometimes change is good. The Lucas Oil Series keeps evolving, offering new opportunities for drivers to compete for bigger purses, and it made sense for both Bob and me.”

Shirley’s car owner Bob Cullen also added, “The Outlaws were great to us, and Brian had tremendous success racing with them. But we were ready for something different. The Lucas Oil Series visits some of the best tracks in the country and continues to create new ways for teams to earn money.
