Coltman Farms Racing announced that both Luke Morey and Sam Seawright and their teams will follow the World of Outlaws Late Models to Hendry County Motorsports Park this upcoming weekend.
The team shared on Facebook, “After 6 days at Volusia Speedway Park our Coltman Farms Racing team with drivers Luke Morey and Sam Seawright will head further south. Up next: Hendy County Motorsports Park [on] February 20-21.”
This weekend is the first week where the World of Outlaws and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will be competing on the same nights. While the Outlaws are at Hendry County on the 20th and 21st, Lucas Oil is at All-Tech Raceway from the 19th to the 21st.
It is unclear if Seawright and his Coltman Farms Racing Team will continue with the Outlaws for the rest of the season. The Coltman Farms Racing team had indicated it would pursue two national tours with Tanner English and Donald McIntosh back in November. The team shared in an update at the time, “Plans are currently being made for McIntosh and English to each compete at the national level in 2026.”
Obviously, a lot has changed since then. Tanner English is no longer with the team after he chose not to relocate to Georgia. Donald McIntosh also split with the team earlier this month with costs and team culture seemingly being the reasons why. It did compete in a full season with the Outlaws last year with Tanner English behind the wheel. Zack Mitchell, the team’s other driver last year, competed with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series as well as in the Coltman Farms Racing Cup events held within the World of Outlaws Late Models schedule.
The Coltman Farms Racing team is currently 7th in the team points for the World of Outlaws Late Models. It is 61 points behind current team leader Tye Twarog Racing.
Seawright is currently in 43rd position after two starts. He finished 23rd on Friday and 15th on Saturday night. He failed to make the feature on Thursday night finishing 9th in last chance showdown #2.
Morey is currently 60th in points. He did not make the show on any of the nights. He finished 8th in last chance showdown #1 on Thursday, 15th in last chance showdown #1 on Friday, and 8th in last chance showdown #2 on Saturday.
