Jason Feger expressed his displeasure with the DIRTCar Summer Nationals series and its officials after he won Heat 3 at Wilmot Raceway to kick off the second week of the 2025 Hell Tour.

Feger, who is the current points leader and the winner of the Week 1 Championship, won Heat 3 after Brian Shirley broke while taking the white lap. However, the heat race was plagued with cautions due to a number of accidents involving Jake Timm, Thomas Hunziker, Frank Heckenast Jr., and Matthew Larson.

After the first couple of restarts, track officials opted for a single file restart severely limiting Feger’s chances of getting around Brian Shirley and winning the heat. In fact, Feger had beat Shirley on the initial start, but a caution brought it back and Shirley made sure on the next restart that did not happen again.

In his Heat Race winner’s interview with DirtVision, Feger was asked what he learned and he responded, “I learned that the series is a joke and they don’t have good rules. And there’s no reason you should ever have a single file restart with two good guys on the front row when the guys in the back can’t make a lap. So I’ve never heard of that. A bunch of s**t.”

“It worked out for me that Brian broke, but I feel bad for him because me and him are good buds,” he continued. “But I’m going to have to have a talk with officials. Anyway, it’s a cool place. I appreciate these fans all coming out and supporting us and hopefully get a good draw and get it done tonight.”
