Joseph Joiner and the Hunt the Front team will not run a full Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season next year with JCM Motorsports.

The team ran a number of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series races in the JCM Motorsports equipment to close out the season after Spencer Hughes left the team in August. The team competed at Batesville, Lernerville, Knoxville Raceway, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, and the Dirt Track World Championship at Eldora with JCM.

As reported by DIRTRACKR host Justin Fiedler, the Hunt the Front team shared on Patreon that they would not be competing in the series full time.

Fiedler shared, “Hunt the Front went live to their supports and shared they will not be going Lucas Racing next year. The offer was on the table from JCM owner Colton Miller for Joiner to get the full-time seat, but in the livestream, Joseph revealed it was his decision to turn the ride down. Joiner informed Miller of his decision in a call this week.”

“He said if this was 5 years ago there wouldn’t have been a question. He would have taken the deal, but at this time, it just didn’t feel like the right direction for him and Hunt the Front as whole,” Fiedler continued. “So, for next season, you’ll see a lot of the same from Hunt the Front in terms of their schedule.”

Joiner’s schedule on the Hunt the Front website indicates that his next race will be the Gateway Dirt Nationals at The Dome in St. Louis, Missouri. However, Fiedler also indicated the team would be at Cherokee Speedway’s finale. The track’s finale, the inaugural Freddy Smith Memorial takes place on Sunday November 16th and is a 50-lap feature $15,000 to-win race sanctioned by the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series. It is also the final round of the Cherokee Chief Series.
