The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Golden Isles Speedway announced it was adjusting its schedule for the upcoming Super Bowl of Racing due to cold weather.
As seen in the image below, the Super Bowl of Racing was expected to being on Tuesday January 14th with an open practice and then have a 30-lap feature on Wednesday January 15th. It would then have a 40-lap feature on Thursday January 16th, a 50-lap feature on Friday January 17th, and 60 lap feature on Saturday January 18th.
That has all changed. In a press release, Lucas Oil shared that “Tuesday’s Open Practice for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presented by FloRacing, 602 Late Models, 604 Late Models, Enduro, Mini Late Models, and Crown Vic will now shift to Thursday, January 16 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.”
Wednesday nights entire program has been cancelled. The $10,000 to-win Thursday night feature has now been moved to Sunday, January 19th. It will include 604, Late Models, Mini Late Models, and Crown Vics as support divisions.
The Friday night feature will remain as originally scheduled albeit 602 Late Models, Mini Late Models and Crown Vic support divisions have been added to the schedule.
The Saturday feature also remains unchanged. It will also feature 604 Late Models, Mini Late Models and Enduro support classes.
