Max Blair and Centerline Motorsports announced that the team will no longer follow the World of Outlaws schedule for the rest of 2025.
In a post to Facebook, Blair and Centerline Motorsports were candid about the team’s struggles and shared that they had a strategy session last week where they came to the conclusion that they would no longer follow the World of Outlaws schedule. However, they did clarify that while they will not be following the World of Outlaws schedule the team will be competing in multiple national touring races, but will be running an “outlaw” schedule rather than chasing points.
“It’s not a big secret that the Centerline Motorsports team has struggled for the past couple months on the national touring scene, which has buried us in the World of Outlaw points. We currently sit 10th in the points, but it’s definitely not where we hoped to be after a strong start to the season coming out of Winternationals,” the team wrote. “The team sat down last week to discuss what the remaining of the 2025 racing season would look like. After looking at the upcoming schedules for both the WoO, LUCAS and regional special events, the team has decided not to continue to follow the full World of Outlaws schedule. It’s not an easy decision to make, but it is one that makes the most sense for the team, Max and his family.”
“We want to thank Steve Francis and the World of Outlaws team for a great start to the season. They are second to none. It was a pleasure running up and down the road with you for the past few months. We look forward to running as many of the Outlaw shows that we can during the remaining of our 2025 racing season.”
The team then clarified, “We are not stepping back from the national touring scene. We will simply be running more of an ‘outlaw’ schedule and not chasing points. The Centerline Motorsports #111 will still be hitting all the LUCAS and World of Outlaws shows that make sense for the team.”
“The updated schedule will allow Max and team attend big events at some of his favorite tracks, including the Firecracker 100 (Lernerville Speedway), the Battle at the Border (Sharon Speedway), the North/South 100 (Florence Speedway), the Rumble by the River (Port Royal Speedway), the CJ Rayburn Memorial/Jackson 100 (Brownstown Speedway) and the Pittsburgher (PPMS),” the team added. “We still have weekends where we will be adding some additional dates as they get closer.”
“A big thank you to all of our continued supporters for the 2025 racing season. We couldn’t do this without each and every one of you,” they concluded.
According to the team’s schedule, they will next be in action at Eldora Speedway for the FloRacing Night in America race on Wednesday and will compete on Thursday in The Dream preliminary. After The Dream weekend, he will head to Smokey Mountain Speedway on June 13th and 14th to compete with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. He will continue to compete with Lucas Oil for the ensuing weekend as it heads to Lernerville Speedway. He closes up the month of June at Tri City Raceway Park on June 27th and Florence Speedway with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series on the 28th.
As Blair and his team noted in the post, he is currently 10th in point with the World of Outlaws. He had a strong start during Winternationals with four top 10s including a third place finish. He did have one DNF on the first night at Volusia. However, he came away with a 3rd, two 9ths, and an 8th place finish. He struggled after leaving Volusia only managing one other top 10 at Farmer City on April 11th. His average finish for the year is currently 14.13.
While Blair has struggled with the World of Outlaws, he did click off multiple wins at Stateline Speedway and Eriez Speedway in May.
What do you make of Blair chasing a more outlaw schedule?
