The American Racer Super Late Model Series announced its formation in the middle of last week promising it will end “tire prep voodoo” while touring through the southeast in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia.
In a post to Facebook the tour announced that it will follow the Southern All Stars rulebook “with light adaptations to promote regional parity.” One of the biggest changes will be the series tire rule. It announced, “The series will proudly run exclusively on American Racer Tires – Pro2 and Pro3 compounds only. No grooving. No siping. No chemical treatment. We’re keeping it real, fair, and untouched. It’s all about horsepower, chassis setup, and driver skill—not tire prep voodoo.”
A spokesman for the tour stated, “This will be a new deal for NC, SC, VA, and GA, built by racers for racers. We believe in affordable competition, simple rules, and tracks that treat racers with respect. And we believe the tire game has gotten out of hand. American Racer gives us a path forward.”
The tour announced it will have a mix of different tracks from bullrings to high-speed ovals and that “early interest from both tracks and drivers has been overwhelming.”
While they specifically noted it will have tracks in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia, it did not rule out going to Tennessee. In a comment a tour spokesman revealed they had not spoken to tracks in Tennessee yet.

One of the tracks the tour does plan on going to is Lancaster Motor Speedway in Lancaster, South Carolina.

What do you make of this new tour? Where do you hope it plans to race?
