Nick Hoffman announced his intention to compete with the World of Outlaws in 2026 while also seeking a new crew member for his Tye Twarog Racing team.
Hoffman made the announcement in a post to Facebook, “Tye Twarog Racing is looking for a motivated crew member for the 2026 World of Outlaws schedule. We will follow the entire Outlaw schedule plus 20-30 other marquee events.”
As for the crew member, the team is looking for “someone with experience in the trade who can handle normal week-to-week operations, including cleaning the race car, cleaning the hauler, performing maintenance, and doing normal mechanic-type work. If you can fabricate, that’s a plus, and if you can drive the rig, that’s an even bigger plus.”
The member “must relocate to Mooresville, North Carolina” where the team races out of. Anyone interested is encouraged to inquire at [email protected].
Hoffman finished second in the World of Outlaws this past year, just 56 points behind winner Bobby Pierce. Hoffman competed in all 43 races and had 5 wins, 23 top 5s and 37 top 10s. He was also the fast qualifier 11 times and had an average finish of 6.49.
His five wins came at Smokey Mountain Speedway in March, back-to-back wins during the Outlaws trip up north to North Dakota and Minnesota at River Cities Speedway and Norman County Raceway, at Maquoketa Speedway in August, and finally at Needmore in September.
Hoffman has raced with the Outlaws since 2023 when he won Rookie of the Year with Tye Twarog Racing. He has 11 wins overall with the series, 56 tops 5s and 96 top 10s. He finished third in the points in 2024 behind Brandon Sheppard and Bobby Pierce, and fifth in 2023 behind Pierce, Chris Madden, Sheppard, and Kyle Bronson in his rookie year.
Hoffman joins Trey Mills in committing to run the Outlaws. It is expected that Tim McCreadie, Bobby Pierce, and Ryan Gustin will join them next year. McCreadie told StockCarReport.com at World Finals, “We haven’t made any announcements. We’ll sit down and look at the schedules. I mean I enjoyed where I was at this year. And usually when we as a team enjoy where we’re at there’s really no reason to change.”
“But that doesn’t mean-. Like anything, the right funding comes along and a sponsor wants to take you to a different spot based off of him putting a good bit of funding into the team, you make decisions based off of that too. So we’ll sit down with everybody that’s involved and obviously Boom, and Steve, his brother. And go from there. We’re pretty happy where we’re at, but also like I said you never write nothing in permanent marker before the season’s even over with. So we’ll sit down and we’ll figure it out in a few months,” he added.
