Ricky Thornton Jr. shared a warning to his fellow drivers and merchandise vendors to not sell to Derrike Fox claiming he purchased and received items and then issued chargebacks.

In a post to Facebook, Thornton wrote, “Hate to start the week out like this, but I’m here to warn my fellow merchandise vendors to not sell items online or in person to Derrike Fox. He purchased and received several items at Lernerville and then made chargebacks against the transactions claiming he didn’t receive the items.”

“When contacted to ask why he did that he immediately blocked me and took away the channel of communication to be able to resolve this without making the information public,” the post continued. “Small business owners know that it’s extremely difficult to win chargebacks as the vendor, no matter how much evidence you can submit. It’s literal theft.”

In the comments section, Thornton added, “Yikes, I was already contacted by another race team letting me know that he’s done this to them as well.”

Sheldon Haudenschild also shared, “He’s done it to us also. On our do not sell to list.”

Thornton then added, “I’ve had at least 6 messages of others saying the same, that’s absolutely crazy.”

Savannah Breiner also shared that he attempted to purchase a shirt from her 6 year old son, but she saw the post and has removed him from her list and stated, “So this guy is willing to try and steal from a 6 year old too.”

Thornton responded, “It felt a little bit unprofessional on my end posting this but after the amount of people that have reached out, I’m very glad we did! He’s stolen from too many people.”

Breiner replied, “I appreciate the post! If it was never sent to me, he would’ve gotten a shirt I’m sure! My son said ‘take that guy off the list he’s a scammer.'”

Kyle Beckett and Cory Price also shared that he scammed them. Beckett also added that he scammed Nick Bechtel and Kyle Weyant as well.

Additionally, Thornton and his team shared that they have “submitted all of the evidence” but have to wait 90 days for a decision to be made.

What do you make of Derrike Fox scamming Thornton and all of these other drivers?
