A new rumor alleges that Josh Richards will make his return to dirt late model racing at the World 100 at Eldora Speedway.

Dirt late model insider Racin’ Jason shared on X, “I’m hearing the world.., we shall see.”

At the beginning of May, the Facebook page Dirt Behind The Scenes hinted that Richards would return. It shared an image of a car and noted, “Rumor has it… this car has been assembled for none other than Josh Richards!”

Mark Richards, the co-owner of Rocket Chassis confirmed the rumor a day later telling FloRacing, “We’re going to test somewhere with Josh sometime at the end of May. We’ll see how he feels and go from there.”

FloRacing’s Kevin Kovac also added, “No specific race has been pinpointed for a Josh Richards return. No schedule or number of starts has been discussed. Mark Richards said everything will be up to Josh, who lives in western Ohio with his wife, Andrea, and has largely been absent from racing since deciding to put his standout career on hiatus following the 2022 season.”

That testing appeared to take place at Sharon Speedway as the Rocket1 Racing account on X shared video of the car running around the track a few days ago.

Additionally, the account shared a photo of Richards behind the wheel of the car.

The 55th World 100 takes place from September 4th through the 6. There will be two $12,000-to-win Twin 25 Prelim Nights on September 4th and 5th before the $72,000 to-win World 100 on September 6th.

Where do you think Richards will make his return? Will it be at the World 100?
